Today the patrols worked more on their flags for Boxwell. We are closing in on summer camp with about five weeks remaining, and the patrol flags are very important for increasing Scout spirit. If you missed the meeting, try to contact your patrol leader and coordinate supplies and manpower which will be needed later on!
This Saturday, the 19th, Troop 217 will be providing their service to the Special Olympics. Scouts were expected to sign up for a morning or afternoon shift in the previous weeks. If you neglected to do so, email Steve Thorne ASAP, so you can all learn service hours for this amazing event!
The magnificent Steve Thorne has also requested aid for the annual Martha O'Bryan Ice Cream Crankin'. Scouts are needed to spend the night in tents to provide protection for the equipment. It is a great time to work on merit badges, and by helping, you will receive free tickets to the event that following Sunday. This event does conflict with the Grimes Canoe Trip.
Speaking of Grimes, both it and Boxwell summer camp are just around the corner! Make sure to take a look at the packing lists, which can be found on the Resources page.
